| Tory let out a slow breath. "I'm going to take you to the infirmary," she said, voice shaky. Carefully, she picked him up and looked into his dark eyes, very seriously. "I love you too, Nicola," she said softly. "There is no life without you."

He was heavy and she wasn't sure how long she would be able to keep holding him, so she turned and opened the door with her elbow. The bright sunlight hit her eyes light a board and she blinked rapidly. Wow. | |
