Erik walked down to the beach, hands deep in his pockets. He sat down close to the water's edge, staring out, across the water. He couldn't believe he'd let slip his godly parent to her. It'd been such a stupid mistake. He sank his head into his hands, gripping his hair so hard it hurt. But that was okay, because as long as there was the pain, he didn't have to feel the inner anguish. Back hunched slightly, he forced himself to pull his hands away, balling them into fists. Control. He needed control.

I was walking and looking at the sky.I was wondering about that voice.It shounded so famillar.

Erik stared miserably into the water. The world would probably be a much better place without him... if he hadn't been born, maybe his mom would still be alive. Maybe his uncle really was a nice person. Instead, he just ended up hurting everyone he cared about... not that he really cared about his uncle. But family was family.

With a yell of pain, Erik felt someone fall over him. He twisted, as he heard a feminine scream, to see... Christine. "Christine!" he moaned. "Great gods, I'm so sorry. You okay? That was quite a fall. I'm such an idiot.. I should have heard you. I'm so sorry, Christine." Dang it, he was babbling. He shut his mouth, looking guiltily at her.

"Yeah," Erik muttered, rubbing his aching head. For a moment he thought he was going to pass out, then he pulled himself together. He hated looking weak. "It's nothing... I'm fine. I was more worried about you," he finished lamely. She probably thought he was such an idiot. Not that he could blame her...

Erik looked at her, then made to get to his feet. "S-sorry then," he muttered to her, not quite meeting her eyes. Gods, he was such an idiot. He knew he was hopeless, but this degree of idiocy was insane. "I-I mean... It's great t-that you're fine," he stuttered. "I t-thought I'd h-hurt you." His own head was paining him so much that he wanted to black out... but he'd been around to know that pain was different for him than other people.

And that was something that Erik just couldn't explain. Instead, he shrugged his shoulders helplessly. "I don't know," he whispered. Then he turned to face her. His breath caught in his throat. How come she just had to be a daughter of the love goddess? Even if she hadn't been though, he'd still have found her beautiful. Tentatively, he reached out and took her hand. "Stay with me, please," he whispered, looking into her eyes.
