Eric slid off the bear.

"He seems to like you." Eric motioned towards the arctic bear. "Would you like to ride him? I'll stand next to him to make sure he doesnt throw you..."

He had a questioning look in his eyes.

She grinned " Sure " She said smiling, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

"Take the reins and hold em tight. Place your foot in the stirrup closest to you and then haul yourself up and get your other foot in the other stirrup."

He stood back making sure she got up properly and safely. Shwin was a a big creature and rather dangerous if not handled properly.

Eric noticed her smile and hid his own quickly. She didnt need to see it.

She rolled her eyes and swiftly mounted the bear " I've ridden horses for twelve years " She informed

"yeah...and this isnt a horse...it's one of the biggest bears on the planet and trained to fight. Not exactly the same missy." Eric spoke jokingly.

"Shwin, to the mess hall, okay boy?"

The massive bear nodded his head once and began lumbering forward like a tank.

Eric couldnt hold it in anymore. He laughed.

"Whatever i say? Right. Like i believe that one." He grinned and they began to head towards camp.

The bear's gait was different from that of a horse's. More loping, each stride more spread out. Cassandra could feel the massive muscles in the bear shift and flex as he moved with a kind of strange grace.

Eric looked on in amazement. No one else but he had ever ridden Shwin before...

"yeah. i heard that bit...but riding a bear? As far as i know, you are the only person besides me who has ever ridden Shwin...he must really like you..."

Eric decided to NOT mention that fact that it had taken everything he had to keep Gershwin from eating the last person who tried to ride him, granted the person had tried to sneak up on the bear and never asked Eric if it was okay or anything, but still, a one ton bear roaring in your face and clawing you up? The poor fellow would never walk again...at least...not on two legs anymore...

Eric looked up again. Cassandras hair was dripping from the rain and water dribbled down her face, but she was happy. He smiled again hoping she wouldnt notice. She really did look pretty...

She noticed him smiling and blushed. She couldn't help but smile, this was a lot better then hanging out with her sisters

Together, the three of them neared the mess hall.

"Hey Cassandra? How does it feel to be the only girl to be able to ride a polar bear into camp?"
