| I was walking somewhere in New Rome.I found a bench far away from everything else and sat there.I opened my notebook and started looking my letters and remembering those dialogs.I also remembered how I became like that,so I closed the notebook quickly and closed my eyes,trying to empty my mind. | |

| Ty was bored. The beach was dead dull and Katie had been there to make matters worse. Great. Admittedly, he wasn't a nice person, but what was her problem? With a shrug, he absently scanned the streets and came to a sudden stop. Whoa, wasn't that Ab sitting on a bench? At least, he thought that was her name. "Hey!" he called, walking over to her.

| Ty felt like he should just go and leave her alone, but he also felt compelled to stay for some reason. A strand of her long hair had fallen into her face as she studied the ground, determined not to look at him, and he reached over and tucked it behind her ear. She was really, very pretty, but he didn't have an interest in her outside of just friends for the moment. She made him slightly uneasy sometimes. | |

| It felt kind of awkward, the way she was staring at him with her eyes wide and surprised. Then she started laughing and it was the best thing in the world at the moment. And then he was laughing to. Not in the same way she was, happy and free, but more reserved, though relieved in a way that he hadn't just messed things up too much. Then she suddenly stopped and looked... sad. "Hey, girlie," he said quietly. "You okay?" | |

Instead, he took the pad and pencil from her and carefully wrote: No you're not. C'mon, you can tell me. What's wrong? He handed her pad and pencil back to her without a word. | |
