"What's your dad like?" Squirrel asked curiously. "My dad's a god... so it's not like we can meet." Despite her carefree tone, her face fell when she spoke and it was clear that she was disappointed.

"Hippies at least cared about the world they lived in and the environment," Squirrel said darkly, reaching over to stroke the mare. "Not like the people in modern times."

"Know right?" Squirrel said. The conversation was waning, so she unlocked the stable door and lead the black mare out of her enclosure. Making sure that she wasn't in any position to kick Irena, she saddled and bridled her.

" So, do you like riding?" I say as I bring the stallion out of his stall.

"Heck yeah," Squirrel said with a grin. She mounted the mare and urged her out of the stables. Maybe she'd find a trail or something to take her on.

After saddling the stallion, I mount him and ride out after her. I wasn't exactly a great rider, so I kept him at a slow walk.

Rocking backward and forward in perfect rhythm with the horse's steady gate, Squirrel urged her into a canter. "See you!" she called behind her as she rode swiftly towards the fence. After a sure jump, they'd left the riding ring behind them and were picking a course down the hill.

I could never ride that fast. "See you, also!" I yell jokingly. I am sticking to the riding ring. I urge him to a fast walk, then a trot.

After about an hour's wandering, Squirrel headed back to the stables. The horse was tuckered out, so she gave her fresh water after removing the saddle and bridle. She could have gone bare-backed, but whatever. Waving to Irena, she trotted out.

I also bring my horse back to the stable and take of his bridle and saddle. I stand by the stall and stroke him. I walk out, in search of my cabin.

April pushed her red hair back walking into the stables, she jumped a little as she ran over to a horse she usually rides, grooming it nd preparing it for riding.
