Hanging Out

Nick walked into the woods with Alexia, holding her hand.

I walk in behind him, I look around, there was no one in the forest but us. I look into his eyes, the forest making hard to see most of him, my eyes adjusted to the darkness. I looked up at him and I smile brightly, I was so glad he was with me.

Nick sat down with his back to a large, pine tree and pulled her down next to him. Putting an arm around her waist, he said, "Why don't we just talk for a bit? I want to know you." He hoped that didn't sound like he was trying to put her down or anything, but he needed to know more about her. Until then, he'd be always wondering.

I sat down next to him, I gaze into his eyes, they were always distracting me, I nod my head. "So, what do you want to know about me?" I ask him. I also figured this would be a good time to get to know each other, it seemed more right to know each before being together.

Nick chuckled softly. "Let's just pretend we're two normal people," he suggested. "And we're out on a date or something." Not being much of a conversation starter, he decided to go with random. "If you could be anyone or anything for a day, what'd you be?" he asked her curiously.

"I'd probably be a wolf." I joke and laugh, "Okay, if I could be anything what would I be? I'd probably want to be myself, so I could always have you." I say and smile. "Who or what would you be?" I ask him. He seemed so much more calm than I was, I could feel a party in my insides but I didn't want to show it.

"A rabid chipmunk," Nick joked. "Nah, I'd probably be a coyote or something. We had a ton of them en Mexico," he said, accenting his last few words. "Neat critters... but I wouldn't say no to being un lobo, either."

I laughed a bit, my heart doing a little tap dance when he spoke with his Mexican accent. He was so cute when he spoke in his Mexican, I almost couldn't resist the urge to kiss him. I wanted to kiss him, but I would seem to forward so I just looked at my feet smiling brightly. "So what's your favorite color?" I ask him.

"Hmm," Nick said. "Mi color favorito es azul. Blue," he said, grinning at her. She was really cute when she smiled like that... Her whole face lit up from the inside. " ¿Y tú? Yours?"

"Um, I guess it would black." I say, it was probably a bit awkward for a girls favorite color to be black. I gaze into his ever so distracting eyes, I look deep into them, I finally couldn't resist the urge to kiss him, his Mexican accent was so cute and well he was so hot, I couldn't hold back. I kissed him, my hands slowly reaching his neck, I wrapped my arms around his neck and continue kissing him.

Good color, black, Nick's cloudy mind slowly thought. This constant need for her could become addictive. Still kissing her, Nick shifted so that he was on top of her, one arm around her and moving into a kneeling position, pulling her onto his lap. And because she wasn't holding back, he didn't either, letting passion flow into his hungry kisses.

I suddenly hear something moving in the trees, I pull back from the kiss, my eyes wide open, I couldn't have heard nothing, could I? I looked around a bit afraid, I was pretty sure there were many monsters in the Southern woods. I look at him apologetically, I didn't want my crazy mind to interfere now.

Nick kissed her again briefly. "Scared?" he teased gently, voice rasping. He rested his forehead against hers and rubbed her back comfortingly. He grinned at her, kissing her nose.

I smiled now, I was happy he was with me, I kiss him again, but kept it brief. "I hate you." I joked and smiled brightly. I looked into his eyes, I knew I was safe with him.

Nick’s grin broadened. He nuzzled her affectionately, saying, “Aw, beautiful, don’t hate. It’s too soon. I’ll keep you safe.”

Nick grinned. "Great, now I have a reputation to uphold," he teased. "Hypothetically, what happens if I let you down?"

"If you let me down, then I'll just have to rip your head off and place it on a wall, but I know you wouldn't let me down." I say, smiling brightly. I hugged him, smiling happily, I knew I would be safe in his arms.

"I'll make sure that doesn't happen then," Nick murmured, nuzzling her affectionately. He stroked her silky hair, feeling his heart beat in time with hers.

I look up at him, gazing into his ever so distracting brown eyes, "I know it won't." I say in a low tone, I keep my gaze for a few more seconds then say, "I love you." I lean up kiss him.

There was a difference, though, between love and attraction. He knew that. She might be attracted to him, but he wasn't sure that was love. In time, they could learn to love each other. For now, he held her close and returned the kiss.

I break the kiss slowly, I look back at him, he looked slightly worried, but everything looked different in my eyes. "What's the matter?" I ask him in a worried tone, "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah," Nick said, shaking his head to clear it. He smiled at her, tracing her cheekbones with a forefinger. "Everything's fine..."
