Life Before CHB*: Irena lives in New York City, with her father and
step- mother. Both her parents are peace activists, so she also was one.
That was also how her father attracted Eirene's attention. Irena got
along reasonably with her family, and now that she lives at CHB, she
visits them during the school year. She currently attends South Side
Prep in Manhattan.
RP Example*: I walk down to my locker and start opening the lock. No
homework for the 4rth time this week. Everybody says Mrs. Goodsworth is a
hard-case about everything. I guess she was feeling , I don't know,
peaceful? "Irena, I am sooo mad. Mrs. Goodsworth gave my class 10 pages
of homework!" My friend, Marsha, says in a very annoyed voice. "She
didn't give my class anything." I say calmly. Marsha's response was
anything but calm.

Life Before CHB*: Elsa was born in Beijing, China. Her father died when she was 9 months old, leaving her and her 7 - year- old brother in an orphanage. They were adopted when she was four and when her brother was 11. They then went to America to live with the Song family, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Their names were altered to fit American life.
RP Example*: "Danny, When are we there?" I ask. My legs were getting tired and I was slightly bored. "Soon, Elsa. And don't call me Danny." Daniel sounded slightly annoyed, but he is very patient. We hiked on through the woods. The sun was shinning through the leaves. Surprisingly I noticed all these details. "We will be there soon. " Daniel says again. "Good, 'cause I'm tired." I say.

Life Before CHB*: Daniel was born in Beijing, China. His father died when he was 7, leaving him in charge of a 9 month old sister, until they were taken to the orphanage. They were adopted 4 years later by the Song family, and moved to Springfield, Massachusetts. When he was 13, they took them on a trip to NYC where they got lost and found their way to CHB.
RP Example*: "Where are we, Danny?" My little sister looks up at me, with a scared look in her eyes. " Somewhere in NYC. Also, don't call me Danny." Man, she could be quite annoying. Life Before CHB*: Maja lived in Fur, Sweden with her mother, a nurse. She didn't get along well with her mother, resulting in her saving money so she could run away to America. After 5 years of saving up, she finally had enough money and ran away to America, where she was found by a saytar and brought to C.H.B. She did relatively well in her school, back in Sweden.
RP Example*: "One non-stop flight to the United States, please." I say quietly. The ticket lady looks at me, and says something in Swedish, which I can't hear from the noise. "What?" The ticket lady shakes her head and gives me my ticket. After two hours, my flight arrives and I board the plane.

Life Before CHB*: Alejandro lived in many different cities in Mexico, since he kept running away from his foster homes. He never stayed in one foster home for more than a month; his mom died in a car crash when he was 12. He went to live with a foster family in NYC, but was sidetracked by monsters and instead reached CHB. He has an unknown sister, which he continually searches for when he can.
RP Example*: "Hey, I am calling about a lost girl named Esperanza Mendoza. Do you know where she is?" I hear the policeman sigh and answer. "Listen kid, I don't know where any Esperanza is. We are getting tired of your calls. We have much more important things to do. Give up on it." That was always the sign for when I run away.

Life Before CHB*: Up
until she was 12, she lived with her professor dad in Boston. Her dad
was killed when he was hit by a car when she was 13, leaving her alone
in Boston. She went to NYC to meet her new foster parents, yet that
never happened. She ended up at CHB after following a sayter disguised
as a tour guide.

RP Example*: I walk up to the tour guide, who is almost galloping, and
start asking him questions." Where are we going?" All I wanted him to do
is give me the directions, which were written on a crumpled piece of
paper, to my new foster parents house. "According to these, we past
their street 45 minutes ago!" Not that I wanted to meet them.

then sent to a boarding school in San Francisco, far away from her home
in Kansas. She ended up running away from her school and found her way
to CJ.

"It would be best for you." My step-dad was doing a poor job of
pretending that he didn't want me to leave. He was smiling, which was
driving me crazy.

Life Before CHB/CJ*: Layla was abandoned by her father when she was 5,
because he was scared of her violent fits. She wandered the streets of
San Francisco for about a year. Then she was found by the police and
taken to an orphanage. Immediately, she was sent away to a foster home,
yet again because of her fits. She lived with her foster parents for a
week, then they decided that she would be put in an asylum. Layla then
ran away from them, and wandered the streets for four more years. One
day, she met an empousa. She was about to attack her when she realized
that she was a daughter of her late sister, Tasha. Layla was taken care
of by the empousa, who told her that all demigods were awful, except for
the children of Hecate. When she was 13, a satyr found here and killed
her caretaker. The satyr that found her, named Mark, took her to Camp
Half blood. The campers all thought she was a daughter of Aphrodite,
until she had on of her fits. Then they thought she was a daughter of
Ares, but that was wrong too. Finally, Chiron said she was a demi
monster, and he also said he thought she was half empousa. Layla decided
to stay in the Hecate Cabin.



RP Example*: "Come on, Mark!" I scream, as the empousa comes closer. She
bears her fangs and lunges instead towards me. Just as I think it's all
over, she tops and mutters "Not a Half blood, but a demi monster." She
backs off and goes looking for Mark, who is standing over what looks
like a border.
"Come on, Layla!" He calls. One look at his face shows the confusion
that I wasn't even attacked by the monster. I hesitate, not sure if I
should go. I would probably get kicked out by whoever ran this place,
because of my fits. "Layla, Hurry!" Mark says, slightly worried. "We
need to get you to Chiron."
