The Mess hall

I walk in and look around, then decide to eat some duck with rice and orange sauce.
I walk over and grab my plate, then sit down at the unclaimed area.
"If only I had friends," I say to myself.

Nick walked in with Alexia. He saw a random guy sitting on a bench and walked over. "Hey half-pint," he said with a grin, before getting distracted by Alexia again.

"Oh... Hi. Um am I in your spot?" I ask looking around.

"Nope!" Nick said cheerfully. "Don't look so nervous," he told him, rolling his eyes.

"Okay then," Nick said. "I'm Nick and I got here a few hours ago. You?"

I pulled Nicks hand and lead him to the Other Gods table, "What are you doing?" I whisper. " I thought we came here to eat, not to pick a fight." I whisper again, but more impatiently.

"I'm Twilight... Been here for a bit but still trying to blend in." I say to him.
"Who's your godly parent?" I ask Nick.

Nick frowned slightly, but let her pull him away. "See ya 'round," he said, grinning. Sitting next to Alexia, he pulled her to him and kissed her briefly. "I'm here because you are," he said, smiling at her gently. "But, I suppose I could do with food too."

I was starving so a grab a tray and some spaghetti. I look at him, "Well? Aren't you gonna get anything?" I ask him harshly, it wasn't me talking it was my stomach. I sit down on a chair next Nick, he was looking at me while I ate, I felt a bit disturbed, "Well?" I ask harshly.

"Yeah," Nick said with a shrug. She was great when she got angry. With a grin, he picked up an apple and pulled out a knife. Normal mortal knife, steel blade, and began peeling it distractedly.

I ate my spaghetti in silence, I was too hungry at the moment, it had bee 2 days since I had eaten anything. I finally take my eyes off the spaghetti and look at Nick. "Um, sorry, I was being a bit rude." I say and immediately look away, I look into my food again and acted as if I had said nothing.

"Hey, it's cool," Nick said coolly. He smiled at her, leaning forward to look at her. "Hey, look at it this way. For every time that you've been angry at me, I've probably been attacked ten times as many times by some idiot who doesn't know how to use a sword." He gave her shoulders a quick squeeze and took a bite of apple.

I look at him, I was angry for some reason, maybe because I had never apologized ever, now here he was refusing my apology. "It's not okay!" I shout, I look at him and stand up quickly, I look at him and walk away, I walk over towards the drinks and stand there.

He thrust his knife into the table and stood abruptly, the chair almost falling over."Hey," Nick said, upset. "Baby, look, I'm sorry. Okay?" Gods, he could never understand girls. He started towards her, then stopped. He didn't want to admit it to himself, but he hadn't the slightest idea of what to do. With a sigh, he closed the distance. "I'm sorry," he said softly, sounding hurt.

"Why on Earth are you sorry?!" I ask in a shout. "Look, you don't even know why you are sorry, right?" I ask calmly. "You're just saying it to make me feel-" I pause for a moment and kiss him, I pull back and whisper, "-better." I finish my sentence. I gaze into his eyes, our noses still touching, I was smiling now.

Nick smiled at her. "I'm sorry, because I'm sure I triggered something to make you upset. And-" he kissed her gently. "I'm apologizing because I love you and don't want to ruin anything so soon." He liked her smile, the way she spoke. He wanted to kiss her again, but felt like things were precarious enough as it was.

"You'll never ruin anything, you're too perfect. In my eyes you'll always be perfect." I say and smile, I didn't know if Nick really loved me, but I had to risk kissing him again, because he seemed like he wanted to but was holding back. I leaned up and kiss him.

He wanted to answer her, but then she was kissing him and he forgot everything else. Nick kissed her back, bending down so that she wouldn't have to strain and wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her to him. Gods, he loved kissing her.

Nick heard other campers walk in and broke the kiss, looking slightly awkward. "Talk about bad timing," he commented to Alexia, moving to stand next to her.

I looked at the new campers who entered, Not the best time, I think to myself. I stood next him, my hand in his. I start blushing madly, "Um, you want to go somewhere a bit more private?" I ask him in a whisper.
