"That's what everyone said they were trying to do," Erik said with a nod. "'Help me'." He put air quotes around 'help me'. "They never did anything about Uncle, it was always me who had the problems. I just had to suck it up and keep on moving. Pretend that he wasn't waiting for me at the end of the day. No one ever pressed charges if they heard me screaming, no one ever complained. So it was my fault, Uncle didn't have anything to do with it because he wasn't the one suffering."

Erik looked defiant. "I don't need your help," he snapped. "And don't drag Christine into this either. She doesn't know much about my past and I'm going to try to keep it that way."

Erik's eyes flashed. "Don't try me," he snarled. "I swear, I'm not letting anything like that happen to me ever again. It's over." He reached behind him, feeling for the door handle.

I ran and hugged my dad.

Erik looked at Christine for a moment, then looked at the ground. "How much did you hear?" he asked nervously.

ooc: hmm. maybe he should hang around for a few days so he can observe their relationship xD

Erik shook his head, vastly relieved. "Just wondered," he mumbled, before pulling her into a hug. Okay, he liked hugging her, but he also needed the reassurance that her presence always gave him.

"Yay," Erik muttered, closing his eyes to bury his head in her silky hair. After a few moments, he took a step back. He smiled slightly awkwardly at her. "You're dad going to hang around or no?" he asked her, wondering if he was planning to spy on them or somthing. He shivered at the thought.

Erik swallowed hard and shook his head. That was probably his cue to leave. Hopefully, her dad wouldn't tell her of what he'd guessed of his past, but he couldn't be sure. Whatever the case, he needed to get a shirt on.

"I'm not embarrassed," Erik mumbled in protest. He wasn't good looking or anything and the scars of abuse did nothing to help and he felt awkward. She was so beautiful and he was just a kicked dog in comparison.

Erik looked surprised, raising a hand to touch his cheek where she'd kissed him. "O-okay," he stuttered, face brightening. "I-I'll see you then..." he said. "Yeah, sounds good." Before he could say something dumb, he left.

I closed the door,went to the bathroom and changed clothes.Then I sat on my bunk and waited Erik.
