Fountain Quest for Securing the Borders

Suddenly a giant charges at aria "where is the son of kronos !"he bellows

I reappear, now at fifteen years of age. “You reconise me you two?” I say pulling out a hand-carved knife. I am no longer an selfish prat, but the true me, a born leader.

“It's been five years; I missed you,” I tell her.

“I was taken to Chaos dimension. I aged four years and learned to survive with nothing but this knife - it is bronze - and bones... but focus on Mr. Giant for the moment." I thrust my sword at the giant's eye.

“noyou won't nobody leaves unless i say so ” i say hostily

I say something totally embarrassing then. “I love you, Aria. But you were too old then. I'm older now... please - stay for me ."

Aria shook her head, letting lose a wild kind of laugh. "No," she said. "I'm not staying. Not for you or anyone else. Go on, Gregor. Be the hero you were supposed to me." With that she started to run, and as she ran the tears came, no matter how hard she fought them back.

I run after her. "Aria!" I yell.

“I changed," I try to tell her. "I would sooner die than leave you!”

Aria tried to push him away. "You don't know me," she said hollowly. "Let me go, Gregor. You'll see me soon enough at camp." If she managed to make it back alive, anyway.

I reach out to kiss her and say softly “calm”

Aria's eyes widened. What...? Why-? Why her? Why? But she realized that she didn't care anymore. She could give him a chance, she owed him that. She gave up fighting. Finally surrendered. Slowly, almost hesitantly, she kissed him back.

"You see how much I love you now,” I say, wanting more.

“You still hate me for saving your life?” I ask her nervously.

“I was younger then... and I was real dumb."

The giant charges at Aria, going for the kill. “No!” I scream, jumping in front of her. I stab the giant with my knife, but am stabbed in the stomach in return. I cough up blood and my heart suddenly stops beating. The giant backs off slightly as I black out.

Aria screamed when Gregor got stabbed. More out of shock than anything else, but she was also freaked out by it. There was a shower of blood and he collapsed, coughing up blood. Then he stopped moving. So still. She crouched down by him, mentally flashing back to a scene that seemed years earlier. Checking to make sure that there was nothing blocking his throat, she started to perform mouth-to-mouth CRP.
