My secret place

I sat as still as a mouse, I didn't want to move. I look up and watch as the sun slowly sets, it was a magnificent sight. I decided that I would sit in this one spot until I could speak without crying again.

I walk back to Azura and sit next to her, putting my arm around her with a hint of something that was more than friendly.

I smile at him, "Do you think, I could speak to my dad one more time? Only for a few minutes." I ask.

"Help me gather some stones!" I say with a nod, getting to my feet and removing my arm around her with clear reluctance. Still, I grab nearby stones.

I slowly get up, I dust off my jeans and pick up a few stones. It felt nice to know that I was finally gonna talk to my dad again.

I form a delta sign in the sand with the rocks and pull out my knife. That done, I then mutter a prayer in ancient Greek. A dark blackness surrounds my knife and I slam it in the middle of the delta. At once, everything goes black. Despite this, I can still see Azura and the opaque spirit of a man.

I see my dads spirit, "DAD!" I exclaim, tears running down my cheeks. I ran towards him and almost hugged him, but I knew he was just a spirit so I decided not to touch him.

"What the-? How did I get here?" he asks, clearly puzzled.

"Daddy, it's me Azura. Your eight year old daughter all grown up." I say tears, still in my eyes.

"Azura! It's you! How did I get here though? That last thing I remember was that I was in a pool," he says, both shocked and confused.

I smile at him, "My friend brought you here to talk to me." I say.

"Just a friend?" he asks with a curious smile.

"Yes, a friend." I assure him. "But, I didn't call you to talk about him. I really miss you, daddy." I say, crying again.

"Well, darling, you've moved on which is great... And I know you miss me, but one day if you do good we will see each other again," he said reassuringly.

"I'm sorry, love. Sometimes things just happen, the Fates decreed that my time had come and I had not choice but go leave you."

"It's unfair daddy. They never asked me if you could leave." I say, my face now red with anger and sadness.

"Then, how could they? They are evil." I say, wiping my tears away.

"But they take away innocent lives." I say, "They took you away!" I shout.

"I'm afraid that is not correct," he said, running a hand through his untidy hair. "Believe me or no, but no one is ever completely innocent." He paused and said suddenly, "I have a question for you..."

"You were innocent!" I shout, I calm down, "Yes, daddy?" I ask him.

I look at him, "I don't know. Why don't you ask him?" I tell my daddy.
