Sparring in the Arena

Subject: Sparring in the Arena Sat Jun 16, 2012 6:44 am

Tory walked in with Nicola, looking around. She crossed to the other side of the arena and exchanged her Stygian iron knife for a Celestial bronze practice sword so that she wouldn't accidentally kill him. That just might be a really bad thing to do. She didn't like swords, but Cola used one and it'd be best if she used one to if they were going to spar. She needed to be flexible with both weapons as it was.

I holded my sword and looked it for a moment.Then I looked Tory.

-You realy want to fight with me as your opponent?I asked.

"You afraid to fight me?" Tory asked with a smirk. "I can always find someone else if you don't like the idea of things getting bloody."

"If you say so," Tory said carelessly. She tested didn't like fighting the dummies. Seriously, what was the good of fighting something that didn't fight back if you were trying to train? Like, what was the point? You didn't get better by fighting dummies.

I stared at Tory for a while,waiting her to attack me.Then,suddenly,I tried to hit her right arm.

Tory had been waiting for just such a move. She evaded the blade with ease, flicking her wrist so that she sent her sword towards his hilt.

I tried to avoid her attack and managed to hardly.I turned and attacked her leg.

Tory jumped over his blade and it swept under her legs. Landing on the balls of her feet, she spun in a circle and moved into the Bonetti defense.

Getting no results, Tory switched into attack, going for his hilt again.

ooc: erm, the Bonetti defense means that she was attacking him.... it's a style of fighting

I made some steps back quickly.Maybe I was right when I didn't wanted to fight with her.I was still afraid she was going to kill me.

Tory kicked at his legs, hoping for him to trip. She was beginning to see that he was either out of practice or had never been a genius with a sword to begin with. Well, she was going to try to change that for his own good.

Tory sheathed her sword. "Okay," she said. Why was he screaming like that? She'd only knocked him down. By now, a monster probably would have killed him. "I didn't hurt you that bad, did I?" she asked, sounding worried. Maybe she'd opened some other wound he'd previously had.

I let my hand on my wound.Hopefully it wasn't open but it was still hurting.

"Cola, you're a really bad liar," Tory said, rolling her eyes. "Spit it out, what happened?" No one just fell screaming to the ground at being knocked down. There had to be something wrong that he was hiding.

"Yeah, stop lying," Tory said. "There's something bothering you and I'm not going to fight you if you're hurt. I don't want to do something that we'll both regret so stop being thick."

Tory gaped at him. "Are you suicidal?" she demanded, dropping to her knees next to him and looking at the scar. "Stygian... Oh sh!t." Her face had gone dead white. He was going to die, slowly and steadily and there was nothing that she could do about it.
